The Iota Lambda chapter is reunited at last! After a long three months apart, we are eager for formal recruitment to start in a few days. This week’s “Sister of the Week” goes to a girl who is diligently preparing for her last formal recruitment as a collegiate- Leah Klein.
Leah, a senior Alpha Chi majoring in Finance with a minor in Supply and and Value Chain Management, has been a model example of putting the chapter before herself. She first became involved in the chapter through volunteering to be a Fashion Show Finance Chair for our 2011 Fashion Show. She then gained the slated position of Resource Chair and finally the 2012 executive position VP of Panhellenic and Philanthropy.
When she is not busy working to better Alpha Chi, she is dedicated to her other extracurricular responsibilities. Leah is a member of TCU’s Neely Fellows Student Organization so if you are a business major looking for an older sister to ask advice from, Leah is your girl. She is also a member of Christ Chapel so she is a great spiritual role model.
Over the summer break, Leah acted as an intern for Bank of Texas in Downtown Fort Worth. She also used her time off as a chance to spend time with her Alpha Chi sisters, friends, and family members. Even though she had a great summer, she is excited to start her final year and begin creating her senior memories.
When asked why Leah should be “Sister of the Week,” the nominating sister said “just thinking of Leah makes me smile because she is always positive and brings a great energy to everything she does. She put so much work into her academics and into this chapter so she deserves to be recognized for it.”
Leah was so excited when she found out that she was going to be this week’s “Sister of the Week” and described her response as “feel[ing] all warm and fuzzy inside.” Congrats, Leah! Keep up the hard work and we hope you have the best senior year possible!
Don’t forget to tune in next week to see who our next “Sister of the Week” will be!
