Every year, along with Valentine’s Day, Alpha Chi Omega chapters across the country celebrate Healthy Relationships Week. Because AXO’s philanthropy is domestic violence awareness, AXO places great value on educating others about what a healthy relationship is.
Throughout the week, members of Alpha Chi Omega posted on social media what love is to them, using the hashtag #loveis. Many of these posts included pictures of our members with their sisters, discussing the love, support, and fun they find in their sisters.
To do our part, the Eta Iota chapter held “Pizza Pies with Alpha Chis” at Frog Fountain, where we handed out Toppers pizza as well as purple ribbon stickers and information cards about what a healthy relationship look like.
This past Sunday, our chapter held our 25th annual Fashion Show, with money raised going to the Tarrant County Women’s Center. The event included a silent auction on baskets and items supplied by our sisters, a raffle, and, obviously, a fashion show. This fashion included TCU students as models and clothing provided by local vendors. Many AXO alumni were in attendance, as well as current members and their moms. The fashion show was a huge success and our chapter ended up raising $110,000 for the Tarrant County Women’s Center! We are so proud of our chapter, especially the committee that worked so hard to put on such a successful show. We know our money is going to help so many women and families in the Fort Worth area, helping us live out such an important party of AXO’s mission.
